How we started
AutoLift LA was born out of a heartfelt desire to uplift our community in Los Angeles. Founded by a group of passionate locals in 2020, we recognized a troubling trend: many of our neighbors were eligible for crucial assistance programs but remained unenrolled. With so much need around us, we realized that car donations could serve as an innovative way to fund a vital benefits-research service for our community.
As we began connecting vehicle donors with those seeking assistance, AutoLift LA flourished into a collaborative effort. The funds generated from these generous donations help us reach out to people in Silver Lake, South LA, and beyond, informing them about programs like CalFresh and WIC. Every car donated opens doors for those seeking support, fostering a more equitable Los Angeles.
